Obituaries D. Gildesgard Emil D. Gildesgard, 53, died Sunday in a San Luis Obispo hospital. Mr. Gildesgard was born Nov.

23, 1927 in Cooperstown, N. Dakota. He was a resident of Arroyo Grande and a former resident of Ferndale. He was a veteran of WWII, having served in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include son, Eddie Gildesgard of Fortuna; daughter, Karen Douglas of Fillmore: mother, Esther Irey of Arroyo, Grande: Keith Gildesgard of Medford, sisters, Lorraine Small Grants Pass, Patricia Hale of Santa Maria and Jenie Austin of Salinas, and two granddaughters. Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Santa Maria Cemetery with Rev. Sherm Genna of the Spoken Word Fellowship Church of Pismo Beach officiating. Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.

Recitation of the rosary will be held Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in the Wood- Voakes Chapel. Mass of the resurection will be 10 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Arroyo Grande with Father Michael O'Sullivan officiating.

Burial will be in the Arroyo Grande Cemetery. Mr. Rafanon was born Feb. 15, 1895 in the Philippine Islands and had lived in Arroyo Grande for the past 40 years. He was a veteran of the U.S.

Dudley-Hoffman Mortuary in charge of funeral arrangements. Rudolph M. Hoffman Rudolph M. Hoffman, 73, died Saturday in a local hospital. A Catholic funeral mass will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m.

in St. Patrick's Catholic Church in North Hollywood. Burial will follow in the San Fernando Mission Cemetery in San Fernando. Mr. Hoffman was born March 28.

1908 in Likens, Penn. He had lived in Santa Maria for the past 2 and months, formerly living in North Hollywood. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army in WWII. Survivors include his widow.

O'Donnell Ede A. O'Donnell, 77, of Santa Maria died Friday in a local hospital. Born Aug. 12, 1903 in San Francisco, she had lived in Santa Maria for the past four years, and formerly lived in San Francisco. She was the past president of the San Francisco Junior League.

Survivors include her husband, James M. O'Donnell of Santa Maria; daughter, Janice Roffoni of Santa Maria; and three grandchildren. A rosary and prayer service was conducted Monday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the Dudley-Hoffman Mortuary. Burial followed in the Santa Maria Cemetery.

Pallbearers included Howard Cooper, Milo Ferini, Louie Lucas, Donald and David Grisingher and Robert Acheson. Dudley-Hoffman Mortuary was in charge of funeral arrangements.
