Vicar and Mrs. Bussingham named the property while there, calling it Cosa del Padre. Also during the visit, the wedding anniversary of Vicar and Mrs. Bussingham, and the, latters birthday, were celebrated. Stays for Longer Visit to Parents Mrs.

Arles Smalley, the former Kathleen Araujo, and daughter Sandra Kathleen, born in Santa Maria Hospital May 16, will re- main in Santa Maria to visit Mrs. Smalleys parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Araujo, for a few weeks prior to returning to their home in Angeles, where Smalley is employed in a defense plant. The Smalleys have made their home in Los Angeles since last October.

Air Field Dance Wingy Manone, well known one-armed trumpet player and his 14-piece orchestra, played for a dance in Santa Maria Army Air Field service club last night. Military personnel and their guests, including many Santa Marians, ind a group of junior USO hostesses, were among those attend ing.

Lieut. Francis A. Conner special services officer, and Sgt. Ben D. Boyd, field entertainment dilector, made the arrangements for the affair.

Breneiser was also a member of the faculty here, and taught crafts for 16 years. The family will not be separated by the move, because the Breneisers daughter Mrs. Louie Ewing lives in Santa Fe with her husband and son Carl. John Breneiser, the eldest son, and his family, are also going to Santa Fe, at the same time. A daughter, Cassie, 11, will also accompany her parents south.

Two other sons are in service. One, SSgt. David D. Breneiser, has just returned from 30 months of overseas service, in the Persian Gulf Command. He has reported back to Camp Beale- after spending a 30-day furlough here.

Sgt. Stanley Eliot Breneiser is stationed in the 40th General Hospital in France. During their absence, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Beldon Taylor will occupy their home, The Ark, on lower Orcutt Road.

Breneiser has been granted a leave of absence, by the board of trustees. Mr.

and Mrs. Breneiser will spend the year in Santa Fe, N. and will leave June 11. They will both do outdoor painting, and Breneiser expects to do considerable study and research in the Laboratory of Anthropology of New Mexico, considered to be one of the finest laboratories in the United States. Both Mr.

and Mrs. Breneiser have had considerable professional experience in the arts besides their teaching. Both have written for magazines and newspapers, and are professional artists in the painting field. Along with this they have kept a constant active interest in community and church life in Santa Maria. Breneiser came to Santa Maria in January 1922, from Erie, where he was director of art education in all the schools of the city.

Since coming here, he has been head of the Language Arts Department and has taught Fine and Applied Art, Art History and Art Appreciation. He directed 25 three-aet plays presented in the auditorium here and his classes have performed in San Louis Obispo and the Pasadena Playhouse, where one year, a state prize for an outstanding play was awarded. I Muriel Edwards Addresses Class Mrs. Muriel Edwards, retiring: county superintendent of addressed the 144 members of! El Camino School's graduating; class, in commencement exercises in Veterans Memorial Budding; Tuesday evening. Mrs.

Edwards described her ex-; perienees in her many years of teaching and other educational posts.
