Mr. Pasay passed away March 4, 2001 at his residence in Guadalupe. He was born Aug. 9, 1909 in Boor, Cardona, Rizal. Philippine Pasay Islands where he was raised.

He came to the United States, to San Francisco in 1926; and. moved to Guadalupe in 1928. He worked in agriculture. Following World War I1, he worked for a short time for a mining company in Utah before moving back to Guadalupe. He was one of the founders and current member of the Cardona Club in the GuadalupeSanta Maria Area.

He is a member of the Guadalupe American Legion. For many years he was active in bowling leagues in this area and was a longtime baseball fan, especially the Dodgers and Angels. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nicetas F. Malvin Edward Hayes will be held at the home of Don and Kristin Holder, 1075 Holder Park Lane, Nipomo, CA 93455, on Saturday, March 10, 2001 at 1:00 p.m. Mr. Hayes passed away at his Nipomo residence on February 27, 2001, at the age of 73. He was born Dec. 26, 1927 in Boston, MA.

At the age of fifteen, Mal stole his brothers I.D. so that he could join the Army Airborne Corps. After serving in the Army, he moved to Worcester where he married the love of his life, Evelyn Mae Schofield, on April 10, 1948. In 1959, he moved his family from Worcester, MA to Santa Barbara, CA, where he worked as a Survey Chief for the City of Santa Barbara. Mal retired in 1974 and started a family business, Hayes and Sons Paving.

In 1982, the family moved to Nipomo, where they bought and developed property. As well as being a gifted carpenter, he was father to five, grandfather to thirteen and "Dad" to all he knew. Mal is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Evelyn! M. Hayes. He leaves behind his sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Cindy Hayes, Dennis and Marcia Hayes and Mark Hayes, all of Nipomo; his daughters-and sonsin-law, Sandra and John Hughes and Kim and Brian Schott, Nipomo, and Laurie Marhefka; Mr.

and Mrs. Melvin Hayes his brothers and sister-in-law, Jack Hayes, and Warren and Doris Hayes, MA; grandchildren, John and Jennifer Titus, JoAnne and Zach Walters, Cheryl Hayes, Kelly Hayes, Ashlea Hayes, Tiana Hayes, Kristina and Dan Vercellono, Matthew Hayes, Steven Hayes, Charly Hughes, Brandon Schott, Joshua Schott, Rose Marie Schott and Nicholas Powers. At the family's request, flowers may be sent directly to the memorial service. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Stanley E. Worlund Stanley E. Worlund passed away peacefully at home with his family and friends on March 4, 2001. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 8, 2001 at Magner-Maloney Funeral Home. Cremation was requested with a private ceremony to be held at a later date.

Mr. Worlund was born on Aug. 7, 1930 in Everett, WA the son of Everet and Vera Worlund. He lived in Seattle for many years before moving to Santa Maria due to ill health in 1996. Mr.

Worlund graduated from Seattle University in 1963. While going to school, he worked as a draftsman for Boeing Aircraft and became an engineer with Boeing upon graduation. He worked for Boeing for over 30 years. He retired due to complications from a stroke. During his career at Boeing, he worked in 1 several of their locations including, Vandenberg, Lancaster, Long Beach, and Seattle.

During his extensive career at Boeing, he was proud to have worked on many Missile Programs, Space Programs, and Stealth Programs. In Mr. Worlund's later years, he was lovingly cared for by his step-son, Jimmy Yeates, and his caregivers, Nona Oliphant, Rosa Lewis, and James Nestle. Grandpa especially looked forward to his visits with little Patty. She brought a lot of smiles and joy to him.

We will all miss our Grandpa Stan dearly. He is survived by his daughter, Ellen Voorhees; step-sons, Jimmy Yeates, Jerry Yeates; step-daughter, Sharon Sanz; numerous grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Vivian Worlund and his step- son, Johnny Yeates. Memorials may be made to Marian Hospice of Santa Maria and the American Heart Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Magner-Maloney Funeral Home.

Reverend Leonard K. Heil There will be a time of visitation for Reverend Leonard K. Heil, 79, Guadalupe, on Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. at the mortuary. The funeral will be held on Thursday, March 8, 2001 at 1:00 p.m.

Lee, New Jersey where he was also raised and educated. He joined the U.S. Navy Sea Bees in 1942 serving in the Pacific Theater and was discharged Dec. 11, 1945. He met and married Helen Lanier while attending Biola where he graduated in 1952.

He worked as an electrician while attending Biola and after college. In 1954 he was a missionary for American Sunday School Union (American Missionary Fellowship) supervising 18 churches from the bay area to Ventura County. He came to Guadalupe in 1970 where he pastored the Guadalupe Community Church for 16 years and went into semi-retirement until his death. He was a chaplain and member of the Guadalupe American Legion Post He enjoyed carpentry and electrical work and was active in helping people care for their yards until just recently. He is survived by his sons, Philip W.

Heil, Esparto, Stephen H. Heil, Simi Valley, Ronald J. Heil, Santa Maria; daughters, Marilyn R. Jones, Tyler, Texas, Janet L. McFarlin, Redding, sisters, Harriett, Snooky, Delores, Patricia, Lorraine and Grace all of New Jersey; numerous nieces and nephews; 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Helen R. Heil who died July 12, 2000, his parents Harvey and Flora Heil, step-mother Grace Heil, and brothers and sister, Arthur, Lester and Muriel.
