California summary LOS ANGELES (AP) Fair weather is forecast for most of Southern California today and Thursday, while inland temperatures climb toward the century mark and thunderstorms threaten the mountains and deserts. Moist marine air produced unusually heavy fog along the San Diego County coast today, cutting visibility to near zero in some areas, according to the National Weather Service. Mostly fair weather was predicted elsewhere, with temperatures up to 100 degrees in some inland valley. Upper-level moisture streaming in from the east and southeast brought a chance of thunderstorms to the mountains and deserts today and tomorrow. Regional forecasts SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA COASTAL AREAS High cloudiness at times otherwise fair through Thursday.

at Wood- Paz Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. today in the chapel of Dudley-Hoffman Mortuary for Margarita Paz, 52, who died Monday in a local hospital of natural causes. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Thursday at St. John Neumann's Catholic Church.

Fr. Emigdio Herrera will officiate. Burial will follow in the Santa Maria Cemetery. Mrs. Paz was born in Michoacan, Mexico, and had been a three-year resident of Santa Maria, moving from Nipomo, where she lived for seven years.

She was a homemaker, and a member of St. John Neumann's Catholic Church. 'Bud' Shaw Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Dudley-Hoffman Mortuary for C.V. 'Bud' Shaw, 74, who died Monday in a local hospital of natural causes. Members of the Santa Maria Elks Lodge No. 1538 will officiate.

Private inurnment will be at a later date. Mr. Shaw was born in San Diego. He moved to Santa Maria at an early age and attended local schools. He worked in the bar and restaurant business for 35 years, and in the early 1930s, was one of the organizers of the Waitress and Bartenders Union.

He was employed at the old Rex, and later owned the Seven Stool Bradley Bar, Lucky Spot and U.S. Grill. He owned Shaw's in Nipomo until it was burned out and then moved to Santa Maria and opened Shaw's where the Valley Farmer was located. He later moved to the current location on South Broadway. He formerly lived in the San Fernando Valley. He was one of the founders of the Five Cities Babe Ruth League, and was a member of the South Democratic Club, South County Historical Society, Golden 50s Senior Citizens, Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge No. 1409 of Pismo Beach and the OceanoFive Cities Elks Lodge No. 2504. Survivors include his widow, Helen Faciana, Arroyo Grande, whom he married Dec.

18, 1983; sons, Thomas Guy Faciana Auburn, and Edward Michael Faciana, San Luis Obispo; daughters, Kitty Armstrong, Grover City, and Jo Ann DeLeon, Santa Maria; brother, Leo Faciana, Mesa, sister, Christine his wife retired from the business on Dec. 31, 1977. He served in the Merchant Marines during World War II and was a 49-year member of the Elks and Moose lodges in Santa Maria. Survivors include his widow, Lorraine Shaw, Santa Maria; son, Dean Shaw, Arroyo Grande; several brothers living in the Northwest. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association of Santa Barbara County, P.O.
