Police believe that 42 year old James O'Malley entered the funeral Storage area may be okayed Approval is expected for an outside storage area at AA Plywood and Door, 1310 W. Betteravia Road, when the Santa Maria City Planning Commission meets Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in the council chambers at city hall, Cook at Broadway.

Commissioners indicated their intent to approve the conditional use permit at the July 20 meeting, but the staff asked for a delay until this week to allow timeto prepare conditions of approval. Disapproval or delay had been anticipated by the staff because AA Plywood and Door is located within a building moratorium area where water and sewage facilities are recognized as inadequate. But the commissioners in general took the position that a storage area for lumber on adjacent property would not increase water or sewage needs and would alleivate the fire hazard potential by allowing stacks of lumber to be spread out Other commission business will include: A public hearing to consider a use permit for construction of eight buildings to be used as mini-warehouses in an MP district at 545 W.
